    MUST HAVE MINIMUM OF 15 ENTRIES FOR A 3D FORMAT, OTHERWISE WILL BE STRAIGHT PAYOUT (FASTEST TIME, PAYOUT BASED ON NUMBER OF ENTRIES)

    DIRECTOR HAVE RIGHT TO RECLASSIFY TEAM ROPING NUMBER. 

    NUMBER CHANGE WILL BE EFFECTIVE NEXT RODEO. 

    POINT AWARD SYSTEM

    DIRECTOR VOTED TO ADOPT THE POINT AWARD SYSTEM OF THE NSPRA. 

     Actual Point System: At each rodeo, points in each event will be awarded to the top six places, if qualified, whether or not prize money is awarded in all six places.  These points shall be referred to as Actual Points.   8.3.1 POINTS AWARDED in EACH RODEO and/or each go round of a multi-go round rodeo  

    60 PTS-1ST

    50 PTS- 2ND

    40 PTS- 3RD

    30 PTS- 4TH

    20 PTS - 5TH

    10 PTS - 6TH 

    AND- ADD 1 POINT, CONTESTANT/EVENT. EXAMPLE, 15 ENTRIES/AGE GROUP = 75, 65, 55, 45, 35, 25.

    ABOUT OUR MISSION

     Southern Oklahoma Senior Rodeo LTD, is a non-profit organization, dedicated to keeping the spirit of rodeo and western traditions alive through our members while also giving back to needs throughout our membership 


    Join us as we promote an atmosphere of competition and camaraderie while showcasing talents of members 40 years and older and encouraging them to remain active by keeping in good physical health, mental sharpness, and emotional wellbeing. 


    Members still love and desire to compete in in the sport of rodeo, demonstrating that age is just a number.

    The 2026 Rodeo season is quickly approaching. The Officers and Board of Directors have met and been working hard behind the scenes in efforts to make this season great! 


    There are some changes for the upcoming season, it is important that you review the rulebook and familiarize yourself with these changes. 


    We encourage all members to seek out potential sponsorship for year-end awards and Finals.  


    We appreciate everyone who has welcomed the OKSRA to their facilities.



    Our kick-off rodeo will be at Billy Sharber’s arena in Konawa, April 11th & 12th, we look forward to seeing everyone there and we are in hopes of meeting new members as well. 


    If you have any questions, please contact your Executive Board or event directors. 


     

    Dress code in effect; boots, long sleeve shirt or a short sleeved collared shirt (with exception the finals MUST where long sleeve collared shirt), cowboy hat. Ribbon runners are only exception.


    Membership can be mailed in prior to first rodeo. No points will be accumulated for year-end awards at finals until membership is paid in full. 


    Entry fees must be paid before performance starts to participate. 


    Draw out time is 24 hours PRIOR to rodeo. 


    Bret Meeks will be the stock contractor for the 2026 season.

    If rodeo is a double header order will change, start and end with barrels.


    Exhibitions - $4.00 each or 3 for $10 (45 Exhibition max entries)


    Ladies Barrel Racing – (40 and over) $50.00


    3D Format if 15+ entries, otherwise straight payout


    Ladies Breakaway (40 & over) 2 for $100.00


    Men’s Breakaway (40 & over) 2 for $100.00


    Ribbon Roping (40 & over) 1 for $75.00 

    (MUST HAVE 5 TEAMS FOR EVENT)


    Tie-Down Calf Roping - 2 for $150.00

    • 40-59 (40 & 50 AGE GROUPS COMBINED)

    • 60-69

    • 70 +


    40 + Team Roping - $100.00/per man

    • 8-point incentive in the Team Roping. Percentage $$ and points awarded in the incentive. 

    • Pick one/ Draw one

    PRE_ENTRIES

    WE will be implementing PRE-Entries so we can communicate with our stock contractor. There will be a late entry fee of $10/performance.

    Pre-Entries will be taken two ways ONLY:

    Text or email Monday – Wednesday prior to performance.

    If you need to visit with the Secretary, call between 6 and 9pm, as she works and will not be able to answer during the day.
